Six to Eight Weeks Checklist

Having a checklist beforehand is necessary to those who are moving especially if it is long distance with long distance movers. At this juncture, I would share to you what you need to do 6-8 weeks before moving. Start with getting the details of your move. This is also the time to decide what items you need to transport. Dispose some items by donating or having a garage sale. This is also the right time to start collecting moving and packing supplies if you are doing it on your own. You may now also start imagining where you can place your furniture in the new home. Get familiar with your new place. Have surveys on schools and grocery stores. Travel arrangements should also be done by this time. All important documents, such as medical records, birth certificates, will and other should be placed in a safe and accessible place. By doing this in advance, you won’t have problems later on.
